Our Story
The Nanny & Co. was created to support families and caregivers in building calm, confident, and respectful childcare relationships. Everything we do is rooted in real-life experience and strengthened by education, clarity, and thoughtful guidance.
After more than a decade working as a professional nanny, and later becoming a mother, I began to notice a pattern across the nanny community. Through conversations with other caregivers and families throughout Boston and New England, the same challenges kept coming up. Families were hiring wonderful nannies, but both sides often felt unsure about expectations, routines, and how to create a supportive environment for a child.
Many families find their caregivers through Facebook groups, referrals, and local networks. These connections can lead to great matches, but they also leave everyone without structure or guidance. And while agencies can be helpful with placement, they are often expensive and rarely provide the kind of ongoing, personalized training that families and nannies truly need once the job begins.
Inviting someone into your home is a big step, and it is natural for parents to want reassurance. At the same time, nannies often enter their roles with a lot of responsibility but very little access to training or continuing support.
In my own work, I built strong, lasting relationships. This did not happen by accident. It came from treating the role with intention, communication, curiosity, and a commitment to understanding each child’s needs. Over the years, I saw how helpful it would be if all caregivers had access to the same tools and knowledge I gained through research, professional development, and daily experience. I also saw how much easier the process could be if families had support in creating systems from the very beginning.
This is why I created The Nanny & Co.
To bridge that gap.
To bring childcare to a higher standard by combining experience with education.
To help families feel confident and informed.
And to give nannies the guidance and training they deserve but are rarely offered.
At The Nanny & Co., we help families slow down, ask the right questions, and set clear expectations. We support caregivers in learning routines, communication skills, and child-centered practices that build trust and consistency. I believe children thrive in environments where the adults around them feel prepared, aligned, and supported.
